About GRID-INDIA

Established in 2009, GRID-INDIA was formerly known as ‘Power System Operation Corporation Limited’ (POSOCO). It operates under the Ministry of Power, Government of India, and is wholly owned by the government. GRID-INDIA comprises five Regional Load Dispatch Centers (RLDCs) and one National Load Dispatch Center (NLDC), overseeing integrated power system operations.The recent name change to GRID-INDIA reflects its enhanced role and responsibilities in the power sector.
