Background :

Suryakumar Yadav began playing cricket while being coached by his uncle Vinod Yadav. Suryakumar Yadav was born and raised in Mumbai. While playing in Chembur’s streets, Suryakumar Yadav picked up the game. When Suryakumar Yadav was ten years old, his father saw Suryakumar Yadav’s interest in the sport and enrolled him in a cricket camp at the BARC colony in Anushakti Nagar. In Mumbai, Suryakumar Yadav participated in club cricket for the Parsi Gymkhana Cricket Club. IPL :

Mumbai Indians (MI) offered Suryakumar Yadav an IPL contract for the 2012 campaign. Suryakumar Yadav only participated in one game this season and was ejected without recording a score. Suryakumar Yadav was purchased by Kolkata Knight Riders at the 2014 IPL auctions. Suryakumar Yadav’s match-winning 20 balls 46 runs with five sixes against MI at Eden Gardens in the IPL 2015 garnered national attention. Suryakumar Yadav played frequently and rose to the position of vice-captain.
