Pushpa 2: 3D Version Delayed, 2D Release on Track for December 5

The release of Pushpa 2: The Rule, starring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna, is one of the most awaited events in Indian cinema.

However, with just days to go, it has been reported that the 3D version of the movie will not hit theaters this week as originally planned.

Fans will have to settle for the 2D version on December 5, while the 3D version is expected to release on December 13, 2024.

According to Bollywood Hungama, the delay in releasing the 3D version stems from the fact that the prints are not yet ready. A source revealed, “The 3D version is not yet ready.

Hence, the makers of the film decided to forgo the release of the film in 3D this week. As a result, on December 5, the film will only be played in 2D versions across the country and the world in various languages.”

The 3D release, initially planned alongside the 2D and IMAX versions, will now premiere a week later. A manager at a multiplex shared, “We were all set to play certain shows of Pushpa 2 – The Rule in 3D.

But today we were told about the delayed 3D release. Now, we’ll play those shows in 2D.” The delay has caused disappointment among fans, many of whom had pre-booked tickets for the 3D format. Multiplexes have begun refunding the extra charges associated with 3D glasses.

A Journey Three Years in the Making

Pushpa: The Rise, released in December 2021, was a nationwide phenomenon, establishing Allu Arjun as the first male Telugu actor to win the National Award for Best Actor.

The sequel, Pushpa 2: The Rule, promises to bring the story full circle as it continues to chronicle the rise of a man navigating the treacherous world of the smuggling syndicate.

The film will release in multiple languages, including Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Bengali, and Malayalam.
