Axar Patel participates in both the Indian Premier League for the Delhi Capitals and domestic cricket for Gujarat. Axar Patel is a slow left-arm orthodox bowler and a left-handed hitter. Axar Patel was retained by the Kings XI Punjab for the 2015 IPL season and contributed 206 runs and 13 wickets. On May 1, 2016, during a match against the Gujarat Lions, Axar Patel achieved a hat-trick and took four wickets in five balls.
