Ishant Sharma is an Indian cricketer known for representing India in Tests, ODIs, and T20Is. Ishant Sharma is a right-arm fast-medium bowler standing at 6 ft 4 in tall. Ishant  Sharma was first called up to join the Indian squad for the South Africa tour in 2006-07 but was later deselected. Nicknamed “Lambu” due to his height and lean physique during his Under-19 days. In 2011, Ishant Sharma became the fifth youngest player to reach 100 Test wickets. Ishant Sharma also achieved the milestone of 100 ODI wickets against South Africa in 2013, becoming the fifth quickest Indian to do so. Known for his rhythm, Ishant Sharma is considered one of the fastest Indian bowlers, having exceeded speeds of 150 km/h on multiple occasions. Ishant Sharma’s fastest delivery was recorded at 152.2 km/h against Ricky Ponting in the Boxing Day Test of 2011. In 2020, Ishant Sharma was honored with the Arjuna Award by the Indian government for his exceptional contributions to cricket. Ishant Sharma was part of the victorious Indian team in the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy. In February 2021, during the series against England, Ishant Sharma reached the milestone of 300 Test wickets. Career :

Ishant Sharma is an Indian cricketer who plays for Delhi in domestic cricket. Ishant Sharma has taken 68 wickets in 14 first-class games, including a five-wicket haul against Baroda. In 2006 and 2006-07, Ishant Sharma represented the India Under-19s on tours to England and Pakistan. Ishant Sharma gained recognition in Australia in 2008 and was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders for a record bid of $950,000 in the IPL auction. Ishant Sharma also played for Sussex CCC in the 2018 county season, becoming the 9th Indian to play for the team. Ishant Sharma made his debut for the Indian Test team during the Bangladesh tour in 2007. Ishant Sharma performed well, taking five wickets in a Test against Pakistan in the same year. During the tour of Australia in 2007-08, Ishant Sharma continued to impress, playing a crucial role in India’s victory in Perth. Ishant Sharma had a successful Test series against Australia in 2008, finishing as the leading wicket-taker and earning the man-of-the-series award. However, Ishant Sharma’s form declined in 2009, and Ishant Sharma was dropped from the team. Ishant Sharma made a comeback in 2010 and played a crucial role in India’s historic win over Australia in Mohali, contributing with both bat and ball. Ishant Sharma has represented various teams in the Indian Premier League (IPL).  Ishant Sharma has played for multiple IPL franchises throughout his career. Ishant Sharma made his IPL debut in 2008 and has since played for teams like Kolkata Knight Riders (2008-2010), Deccan Chargers (2011), Sunrisers Hyderabad (2013-2015), Rising Pune Supergiant (2016), and Delhi Capitals (2019-present) . Ishant Sharma participated in the Indian Premier League for Kings XI Punjab. He was purchased by the Delhi Capitals in December 2018 during the player auction for the 2019 Indian Premier League.
