Ishant Sharma is an Indian cricketer who plays for Delhi in domestic cricket. Ishant Sharma has taken 68 wickets in 14 first-class games, including a five-wicket haul against Baroda. In 2006 and 2006-07, Ishant Sharma represented the India Under-19s on tours to England and Pakistan. Ishant Sharma gained recognition in Australia in 2008 and was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders for a record bid of $950,000 in the IPL auction. Ishant Sharma also played for Sussex CCC in the 2018 county season, becoming the 9th Indian to play for the team. Ishant Sharma made his IPL debut in 2008 and has since played for teams like Kolkata Knight Riders (2008-2010), Deccan Chargers (2011), Sunrisers Hyderabad (2013-2015), Rising Pune Supergiant (2016), and Delhi Capitals (2019-present) . Ishant Sharma participated in the Indian Premier League for Kings XI Punjab. He was purchased by the Delhi Capitals in December 2018 during the player auction for the 2019 Indian Premier League.
